About Ritrovo Pizzeria

Our name means gathering place in Italian, and that's exactly what we set out to be β€” a neighborhood hangout, where scratch-made pizzas, baked calzones, crispy stromboli, fresh salads, and comforting Italian pastas bring people together. Come hungry. Meet. Eat. Linger. Repeat.

Ritrovo Pizzeria is a pizza restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina. It is listed at 70 Westgate Pkwy, Asheville, NC 28806, which places it among the local businesses of Asheville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Asheville, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across North Carolina on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 12–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 785-1780. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, ritrovoavl.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 42 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Asheville and suggests consistent service.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’d love to be able to give it more stars, but I was very disappointed in a few ways. We ordered the margarita pizza and it was a very firm crunchy crispy crust, which was not what I expected, but I won’t say it wasn’t good, but all it had on it was the sauce and maybe 6-8 basil leaves and 5-6 extremely small rounds of ultrathin slices of fresh mozzarella. I pretty much was eating crust with sauce. The sauce tasted good, but I definitely needed more than just crust and sauce. Sadly disappointed to walk out $40 later having eaten one slice of sauce pizza. I did eat one of the meatballs, but I could only eat one because they were swimming in grease. Whoever waited on us never asked anything about our meal, just asked if we wanted a box and then toss this one so that we could put our pizza in it. If I’m not asked how my experience was at a new restaurant then I’ll be writing it on here. I’ll do you a favor. Save yourself some money and disappointment go somewhere else. We aren’t lacking options. Do you want a picture? Give you a picture of this

It’s a sister restaurant of Strada downtown. Pizza is honestly better than what Strada had when there oven was working over a year ago. 10/10 on the pizza, prices are fair, location is super easy to get to. The staff was nice but very busy…a lot of takeout orders. You order at the front and take a number to be served. Great addition to AVL pizza!

I cannot say enough about this place! Wow. The flavor of that crust is still lingering in my mouth. We got the kids spaghetti, two slice lunch special and a vegetarian Stromboli and the Italian sausage Stromboli. We will definitely be back. The service was excellent, the restaurant itself is cute and easy to get in and out of, and the flavor of everything was excellent. Not just your run of the mill place, everything was thoughtfully crafted you can tell.

I’m pretty sure they’ve just opened, but they already nailed the pizza, the crust was fantastic. It’s also conveniently close to a supercharger.

Great new addition to the pizza scene here in Asheville. Opened yesterday and word is apparently spreading fast about their new pizzeria/location as the place was half full by the time we left (we arrived early at 545PM). Food was great! Started with Caesar salad (soze lacking in comparison to All Souls salads), meatballs (could be cooked a little more, though), and arancini were all on-point. Pizzas were also great. Light/fluffy crust, great quality toppings. Margherita and Pig & Fig were delicious. Looking forward to returning!
